SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure improves performance and data protection for mission-critical applications, eliminates cost and complexity, and streamlines operations

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. - July 9, 2015 - SimpliVity a leader in hyperconverged infrastructure for IT, today announced that St. John's Riverside Hospital, is leveraging SimpliVity's transformational hyperconverged infrastructure to improve the performance, economics, resiliency and manageability of its IT infrastructure.

St. John's legacy infrastructure had limited storage, oversubscribed servers, and slow backup software. This posed a risk to the viability of St. John's mission-critical applications and restricted their ability to scale and grow. After replacing its legacy IT systems with SimpliVity's solution, the hospital:

• Increased application delivery performance of core healthcare applications by up to 50%
• Accelerated data protection, enabling backup and restore for mission-critical applications in seconds
• Achieved data capacity savings of 76:1 through inline deduplication, compression, and optimization
• Drove operational efficiencies that increased productivity and significantly reduced total cost of ownership

"Our mission-critical applications were constantly at risk with our legacy IT infrastructure. We were backing up data every eight hours and restores could take as long as 30 minutes," said Nelson Carreira, Director of Servers and Desktops at St. John's. "SimpliVity gives us peace of mind.
